Yes, both the ceremony and the reception are scheduled to be outdoors. There is indoor space at the venue in case of inclimate weather.
Is the welcome party on the 20th outdoors?
No, the putt putt, bar, and food will be set up in doors at Old Town Putt, but there is an outdoor patio that we will have access to as well.
What kind of food can we expect at the reception?
We are planning on having food trucks for dinner at the reception, so no “chicken or steak” choice is required for our RSVP.
Are children welcome to the festivities?
Yes, children are welcome at all of the events. There is even an outdoor child’s play area at the wedding venue that the kids will be able to play in. Please add a note in your RSVP if you do plan on bringing your kids.
I would like to send a gift instead of contributing to the honeymoon or house fund.
We are so appreciative of anything you would choose to bless us with. If you would like to send us a gift instead of contributing to one of our funds, please send those to Steve’s home at: 17025 E Arkansas Ave, Aurora, CO 80017.
What the heck is Mountain Formal?!
Mountain formal is a term used to describe elegant attire for events in the mountains, especially weddings where the ceremony may be on grass. The goal is to dress appropriately for the mountain climate while still looking elegant.
Here are some tips for what to wear to a mountain formal event!
Men:
A nice suit or dress shirt and suit pants, with optional tie and jacket. For a more mountain-inspired look, consider a button-down shirt with an outdoorsy pattern under a dinner jacket, paired with boots. Earthy tones like tans, browns, greens, and blues can also be a nice nod to the ambiance.
Women:
A cocktail or formal dress of midi length or longer. Some other tips include packing a jacket for when it gets cooler at night. Opt for block heels, flats, or boots instead of pointy heels. Keep makeup and hair natural and everyday.
