Brock and Claire met through Hinge (dating app) in November 2017. Their first date was at Franklin Street Pizza in Evansville, IN. After a few beers and lots of pizza, Brock asked Claire to go drive through Garvin Park to see Christmas lights. From that point on, they were a couple. Claire attending Evansville Thunderbolts hockey games, and Brock bringing Claire Starbucks to work became the new norm.

Claire and Brock spent 11 months in a relationship together in Evansville when they decided to make a big move to Nashville, TN. Claire landed a job with Staff Zone in October 2018 and moved within the month. Brock landed his job with Elite Sports Medicine in December 2018. Since the big move, Claire and Brock have spent many of weekends down on Broadway listening to music at honkeytonks, attending Predators hockey games and Sounds baseball games, and checking out new restaurants.

Brock got down on one knee the night of their favorite artist's concert - Ryan Hurd. Ryan's song "Diamonds or Twine" is Brock and Claire's song for their first dance as husband and wife. Brock surprised Claire the night of the proposal by bringing in Claire's sister Melissa and her boyfriend Sam to take pictures while Brock got down on one knee at the end of Broadway next to the riverfront. A complete surprise it was! They spent the night celebrating the proposal, hearing their favorite artist play their first dance song, and enjoying time with Melissa and Sam.

The wedding date February 6, 2021 is the exact same date one year later from the proposal day February 6, 2020.
