Our Wedding

The story begins in middle school. Claire had not given much thought to her friend Kayleigh’s twin brother, Kaden. Kaden, however, had a crush on Claire since they first met. This only became known many years later when a huge group of youth group friends hung out at the Martin’s house during their sophomore year in high school. This is where their relationship begins.&nbsp; Although Kaden and Claire did not know much about each other, their friend groups began to merge and they began to spend a lot more time together. Finally, Kaden worked up the courage to ask Claire on their first date (to a very fancy restaurant- Applebee’s). They talked for hours on their first date, hitting it off immediately. Claire and Kaden continued to go on dates for a few months until Kaden asked Claire to officially be his girlfriend on April 22nd, 2019 at The Ledge County Park. This has been a special place in their relationship that they like to revisit on anniversaries. Fast forward a few years, and it was time to apply to colleges and decide what their future would look like, both independently, and as a couple. Claire and Kaden eventually decided that it would be best to go to separate schools, but reasonably close, so they could develop as individuals, yet still be able to maintain their relationship by seeing each other on the weekends. Kaden ran track for UW-Stout, while Claire was a worship leader for Intervaristy at UW-Eau Claire. These two activities made scheduling time to intentionally date each other difficult. They quickly got into a routine of going to church in the mornings with friends in Eau Claire and spending the day together. Some of their favorite things to do on Sundays have been bouldering at the rock wall on campus, playing Bananagrams, getting lunch at the Goat Coffee House (where Claire works), and going to Petco to look at red-eyed tree frogs (Kaden's favorite activity).&nbsp; Kaden and Claire have been excited to get married since they were in high school and are overjoyed to start this next part of their lives together, surrounded by their favorite people.&nbsp;
