Yes, all are welcome! Please join us on Friday night to kick off the celebrations at the beautiful Salisbury House and Gardens from 7:30 to 10pm. Enjoy heavy appetizers and beer, wine, and cocktails.

We encourage guests to wear smart casual attire. Think sundresses for the women and casual button-downs and chinos for the men. No jeans or shorts please. Weather permitting, we'll be outside, so block heels are best.

For guests staying at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown, a shuttle to and from the welcome party will be available. The first trip will leave the hotel at 7:15pm and the second will leave at 7:50pm. Please be in the lobby ten minutes before departure. The bus will then take guests back to the Marriott at 9:45pm and again at 10:15pm. For locals, there is a parking lot at the Salisbury House and Gardens.

We would love to see your children at the welcome party! Our wedding day, however, will be an adult-only occasion.

Limited street parking is available, so please carpool or Uber if you can. Please drive safely! If you're staying downtown, The Tea Room is a quick walk from The Des Moines Marriott Downtown (connected via skywalk!), The Surety Hotel, The Hyatt, The Des Lux, and Hotel Fort Des Moines.

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the official ceremony start time, which is 4:30 pm. This will give you time to drink some bubbly, find a seat, and get settled.

Yes! Keep the party going at Hello Marjorie, which is just around the corner from The Tea Room. Please bring your ID and enjoy an open bar until 1am. Cheers!
