Claire and Josh’s story began in January 2025 (as Taylor Swift would say, “it’s been a long time coming…”).

Their very first date at Graft, a favorite Charleston wine bar, was easy and comfortable, and there was an immediate feeling that this connection was something different. They bonded over their deep love of music (from Ben Folds to The 1975), shared values and worldviews, and the unexpected overlap in their helping professions. Within days, Josh had listened to the album Claire recommended and texted her his favorite tracks, and not long after, he was winning her over by playing her favorite songs on the piano. Together they discovered they had the same quirky sense of humor, the same Myers-Briggs type (INFP—equal parts blessing and curse!), and the same deep love for their dogs, Toby, Stella, and Clyde.

From cinematic bike trips through Slovenia and Croatia, to relaxing boat rides in the lowcountry, to countless evenings of music and laughter, Claire and Josh kept finding more reasons to believe they were exactly where they were meant to be. They soon knew they wanted to share their lives and together they designed a ring with Claire’s grandmother’s diamonds. On a sunny day out on the boat, with music playing and Toby by their side, Josh proposed. They celebrated afterward back at Graft, toasting at the very table where their story began just six months before.

Claire and Josh can’t wait to celebrate with you in Greenville this February—surrounded by family, friends, love, and joy. And in true Claire fashion, they’ll be raising a glass (or two!) to a lifetime of love and happiness together. Cheers!
