Hello all, it's me, Noah.
Sit back and prepare for this rollercoaster of a story.
It all started in December of 2023. I was just a young and innocent senior in college, oblivious to the real world.
My mother came to me one fateful night and asked if I'd be interested in a blind date. I was intrigued, to say the least. (She wanted to make a group chat with the three of us.) I quickly turned that down and texted this girl to ask her on a date.
Surprisingly, she was also interested. We went on a date. It was great. The two things that stuck with me were that she liked roller coasters and she went to church. What more could you want? It was a lovely date, and we planned a second shortly after. Unfortunately, I was violently ill the night before the date. I'd literally never thrown up that much in my entire life. We had to reschedule, to say the least.
Unfortunately, spring semester came around. I thought starting a new relationship with a girl in Fishers during my last semester probably wasn't the smartest idea. So, I texted her just that and said I'd text her when I got back in the summer. (She was skeptical, to say the least.)
I went to school, graduated, partied it up, and when I got back, I did just what I said. I texted her and planned a second first date. We went out on June 2nd. We hit balls at Topgolf, ate at FDR, and even went back to my house to talk in the hot tub. To say it simply, it went very well. We talked for hours, and I smiled all the way home.
The rest is history... UNTIL NOW.
On February 22nd, I asked the love of my life to marry me. She said yes, thankfully! I had been wanting to ask since December, so I got to work. I asked my best man, Cole Trent, to set up a "group Valentine's date" at Newfields. Claire was clueless! We went on our date. Everything was going perfectly. We perused the art and gardens. When we arrived at the Lilly House, I said the code word "Boat," and Cole and his girlfriend Kylee faded into the background to take pictures. Honestly, I do not remember a ton after that, just that she said yes, and I was overflowing with joy. The feelings were overwhelming and indescribable. I was relieved that it was over and so, so excited for what was to come.
We drove home on cloud nine to another surprise. All of our close family and friends (more than I remember inviting) were waiting for us to celebrate. It was an amazing party, and it felt so good to be celebrated like that. My favorite part was Claire's face when she walked in. I've never seen her so surprised in my life. We partied and celebrated into the night—a great way to end the perfect day.
Now we spend our time working on our house, spending time outside, planning a wedding, hanging out with friends, planning the most amazing dates, going to church, and trying to love eachother the best we can.
Now the rest is history, until August 30th, of course. :)
Hi hi!!!
I don't know how to take the mic after Noah's version, but here we go-
December of 2023 after a rec therapy movie night graciously hosted by the Graham's, Noah and I met in passing on his way in for the night while I was headed out after a Christmas movie night with the awesome adults I get to work with (including his sister, Olivia!).
The following day I received a text from Laura asking if I was dating anyone & if I'd be interested in a date to which I said yes, and heard from Noah later that evening (to quote- "Hi Claire this is Noah! This is the funniest thing my mom has ever done”). We then had a nice coffee date, and as the timing of things shook out we went about our lives until we fast forward to May of 2024; Noah reaches out again and asks if I'd like to go out again (just as he said he would, quickly learned this man kept his word! One of the first of an abundance of green flags and attractive qualities.) Come June 2nd, Noah picked me up in his truck and headed out to get dinner at FDR, then off to Top Golf where he quickly learned I was all talk and no game with my golf skills, (turns out you can still win them over with a sub par swing, pun intended). The date was going so well that he offered to go back to his house to sit in the hot tub and keep the good chats flowing (I was lucky enough to even get serenaded on top of this incredible night).
One of my favorite things that happened on this date was after sharing my non-negotiables with him he quickly responded with "I think I fit all of those, what's the hard part?" Turns out after quickly falling in love, the waiting & anticipation of married life seems to be the hardest part!
We had the most fun summer soaking up the sun and loads of fun at the pool, taking weekend trips to Michigan, and enjoying the outdoors. Autumn came and was full of all the coziness, continued adventures of dating & fall-ing in love more and more each day (punny, I know). Then a very holly jolly Christmas season came and we had such a special time celebrating together, learning about each other's traditions, enjoying all the festivities.
February 22nd came and well, Noah's version describes our beautiful engagement day so perfectly so reference back to his version for this part :) One added component to this most glorious weekend was that on the day before our engagement we had a lovely time reliving our very first coffee date, reminiscing on the last 8 months of memory making and looking forward to all that was to come, little did I know the next day we would be celebrating our ENGAGEMENT!!! Noah truly pulled off the best day, which completely checks out as he has shown me nothing but the purest form of love from the very beginning.
God gives the best gifts, I cannot put words to how we feel getting to love and cherish each other forever & ever!!! <3 <3 <3
