Lincoln's TestimonyIt was at a young age that I understood my utter lostness and need of a Savior and that Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross was the sufficient payment for my sin debt (John 14:6). I grew up in a missionary family, resulting in three of my early years being spent in Venezuela, most of my childhood in Pennsylvania, and my senior year being spent in Papua New Guinea. Growing up in a missionary family, I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t aware that there were people groups in our world who had no access to the gospel. However, it was during my senior year in Papua New Guinea where that reality was solidified more clearly. I’ll never forget visiting a tribal group in the highlands of Papua New Guinea where there was a maturing body of believers. It was during that trip where I heard my uncle translate into English one of the elder’s testimonies. It was so incredible reflecting on the fact that this man is my brother in Christ, that I would spend eternity in heaven with Him, and that he would never have heard the gospel if believers didn’t enter his culture, learn his language, and teach him through God’s word. He understood Christ’s redemptive work on His behalf. Throughout the next two years of Bible school, it was a joy understanding God’s grace and not only the application of resting in it but also extending it to others. After Bible School, I underwent a part time pastoral internship at First Baptist church of Lapeer before then going to two years of missionary training with Ethnos360. It was throughout these 3 1/2 years that I discovered my love for teaching God’s word. Looking into the future, my endeavor alongside Claire is to pursue tribal church planting in the country of Papua New Guinea. We're trusting the Lord to eventually learn another language and culture, teach the people how to read and write in their language, and then teach them through God’s word from creation to Christ to the New heavens and New Earth, Lord willing leaving behind a body of believers who can stand on their own.Claire's TestimonyHow God led us TogetherThe two of us first met at Wayumi, the camp where Lincoln grew up at. It was at the Ethnos360 Training Center however, where Claire and I really got to get to know each other. It's incredible to see the Lord's hand in our relationship! Not only were we both separately pursuing Papua New Guinea, but God had also been faithful in answering our prayers! During my (Lincoln's) first year of missionary training, during Simple Living, where us Missionary candidates live out in the Woods, Claire was on my mind. It was on April 23rd, 2024 that I had prayed that if it'd be God's will, Claire would come to the Training Center the next year. It was that same day that God had answered Claire's prayers through four distinct ways and made it clear to her that she would come the next year! She came, we started to build a friendship, and on January 26th, 2025 we started dating. Claire and I are so thankful for the Lord's faithful leading in our lives and are excited to serve Him in reaching the unreached with the Gospel!! Our Tentative plans as we see it are to serve in the Mobilization department at the Ethnos360 Training Center for our first year of marriage, undergoe an extra semester of Linguistics afterwards before then moving to Lapeer, MI where our sending church is to support raise for Papua New Guinea. We aim to leave for PNG Lord Willing Fall of 2028. We are thanking and praising the Lord for His Grace and Faithfulness in our lives.
