Our Wedding

Her perspective: Collen and I met in 2016 through mutual friends at work. Through our periodic hangouts, Collen became a good friend of mine, and someone I could count on. It quickly became clear to us both that we had feelings for each other, but I continued to sweep that idea away. As cliche as it is, I knew Collen was the marrying kind, so I was hesitate to jump into a relationship with him. It took me 4 months and a bucket of Richie’s fried chicken to agree to finally date him. Since dating we bought our first house together and added three four-legged family members into our home. He has stood by me from the day I started my job, graduated with my Bachelors, and then with my Masters. I knew we had a solid life together, which is why the proposal was such a surprise. Leading up to the proposal I was pretty naive. It was New Year’s Eve and I had my closest friends in town for the holidays. We decided to go ice skating, although the day of I suggested cancelling the ice skating many times. The nervous look Collen had (as if I would say no) still makes me laugh. Six full years of dating, and now we finally get to plan our wedding and rest of our lives together! His perspective: Claire and I met through mutual friends we had both worked with. I knew almost immediately there was something different about her. After lots of patience and some really good chicken we finally started dating. After slowly accumulating a dog, a new car, a house, another new car, another dog, and ANOTHER dog over 6 years, I knew there was only one more thing to do. It was the most nervous I’ve ever been for anything in my life and I still have no idea why, but she said yes and now the next step is to tie the knot and celebrate with everyone we love. I can’t wait to make this life we’ve created our forever.
