There will be a break between the ceremony and reception, but that doesn't mean the party stops!
Grab lunch. Rest up. Explore Milwaukee's historic Third Ward and other nearby neighborhoods. These are some of our favorite stops around the city, plus notable landmarks and events you can visit over the weekend.

One of our favorite places - PERIOD! Explorium has great food, friendly staff, and a delicious collection of proprietary beer ranging from pilsner to stout. Claire and Josh have been loyal Mug Club members for over 2 years. Bonus: It's literally next-door to the reception.
Claire and Josh love walking along the Milwaukee River as soon as the Wisconsin winters end. This beautiful RiverWalk system stretches 20 blocks and is lined with many restaurants, boutiques, and sculptures.
Yes, you can visit it yourself... the bar where we met! If you're feeling daring, channel your inner cowboy or cowgirl and take a ride on their mechanical bull.
A great slice of Milwaukee, complete with a range of food and drink options. It's also home to the Foltz Family Market—no relation that we know of, but it couldn't hurt to mention that you're a guest for a Foltz family wedding.
Milwaukee is known as the City of Festivals—Don't believe us? Here's proof—so it's no surprise that there's one happening over our wedding weekend. In a stroke of serendipity, it's Polish Fest, and Claire is very proud of her Polish heritage. Stop by to get some perogies and listen to traditional Polish tunes. There are also vodka tastings, if that floats your boat.
Axe throwing and deck shuffleboard aren't uniquely Midwestern activities, but they are pretty darn fun. Test your aim and make us proud.
That's right—Milwaukee is home to a museum filled with bobbleheads of all shapes, sizes, and themes. It goes beyond the standard athlete figurines and features cartoon characters, historical figures, and so much more. Bonus points if you go there and mention Comedy Bang Bang.
One of Milwaukee's newest dining destinations, this market hall has a wide range of food vendors, indoor lawn games, and a wall of self-serve beer taps.
Browse the museum that is as much a work of art as the galleries it houses. Plus, the Lakefront Festival of Art runs June 14-16 at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Shop paintings, ceramics, fiber, metalwork, and jewelry from more than 100 artists from across the nation. The festival is held rain or shine. Admission includes access to the Museum with drop-in tours available.
Josh is the proud owner of a Harley Sportster S. Visit the HD Museum to check out bikes like his and so many more.
