Paso Robles has a great food, entertainment and wine scene. Here are some of our favorites:
Downtown Restaurants:
Fish Gaucho - Mexican, Southwestern
The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar - Super cocktails and wood-fired comfort food
Thomas Hill Organics Bistro & Wine Bar - Farm-to-table organic cuisine
Il Cortile Ristorante - Fine Italian dining (a Ronay Family Favorite)
BL Brasserie - Traditional brasserie style French fare
Joe’s Place - Best breakfast in town
Catch Seafood Bar & Grill - Great oysters!
Paso Market Walk - Several food purveyors in one building. Coffee, gelato, dining, etc
Tin City - A vibrant and unique industrial hub of over 40 wine tasting rooms, restaurants, shops, craft breweries and artisanal distilleries.
California Coast Beer Company. We plan to reserve space there for our wedding guests to meet up on Sunday.
Wineries:
There are over 200 wineries that make up the Paso Robles Wine Country. You will want to make reservations early as you can, as October is harvest season. Most wine tastings are $25-50 per tasting. You can either order your own tasting or share one with a partner. We recommend scheduling 3 tasting reservations in one day. No more than 4, to give you time to relax and enjoy (and not get blasted!) Some, not all, of the wineries offer food.
If you want to rent a driver with a group, here are sites that direct you to a few options:

Other Things To Do:
Sensorio, Paso Robles. Immersive light art exhibition of over 100,000 illuminating bulbs in a beautiful outdoor evening setting. If you have extended your stay, this might be something you do one evening with a group. You will want to purchase tickets ahead of time. Come before dusk and listen to music, enjoy some wine, beer or food and then at dark walk through the trail exibitions. It is stunning!
Olive oil tasting at Pasolivo.
Tour Hearst Castle. Located 40 miles west of Paso Robles in San Simeon, on the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1)
View Elephant Seals at the Piedras Blancas Rookery. Just north of the Hearst Castle in San Simeon
Grassy Bar Oyster Company, Morro Bay, CA. Our favorite oysters, located right on the water. Take out only. Worth the drive.
Hiking:
Fiscilini Ranch Preserve, Cambria, CA. One of Bill and Sami’s daily hikes, while staying in Cambria. Beautiful ocean views.
Moonstone Beach, San Simeon, CA. Beautiful hike with incredible ocean views and a trail through the eucalyptus tree forest.
Salinas River Walk Trail. Paso Robles. Very close to Allegreto.
