Our Story

The Story of Us

Picture of The Story of Us
Alec and Claire originally met in high school in gym class. They both took badminton/volleyball which Claire was really good at and Alec not so much. Alec initiated hanging out for the first time two years after graduating through Instagram. Claire posted a very punny photo which Alec then replied to which led to hanging out for the first time. They went to Chris’s Family Restaurant in Allentown but nothing happened as Claire was moving to Pittsburgh for school. Two years later after graduating from Pitt, Claire moved back home. Claire reached back out and rekindled the friendship. They instantly both knew it was something more. Ever since then, they both have shared memories, laughs, smiles and so many puns.

Q + A

What date should I RSVP by?

We ask that you please RSVP by Friday, October 3rd

What is the dress code attire?

We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress Code is Formal Cocktail Attire. Ladies can wear formal dresses from knee length to floor length. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie. No jeans please! Colors to avoid are shades of white and burnt orange unless you want to look like a bridesmaid haha.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 p.m. so we ask that guests arrive between 3:30 and 3:45 to ensure you have plenty of time to find a seat and get settled in.

Can I bring a guest?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of our flower girl.

Is there transportation to/from the venue?

No, but there are two local hotels within walking distance of both the ceremony and reception hall.

Will there be parking?

The church has a parking lot available during our ceremony time but due to limited space we would recommend carpooling or walking from the hotel. The reception hall has off-street parking which is free after 6pm along with a parking garage right next to our venue.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an “unplugged ceremony” which means no phones or cameras. We would love to see all of our favorite faces as we say “I do”. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and promise to share our photos as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like.
