While we've met on several occasions at various points (e.g., college parties, deck parties, and The Platte) throughout our lives due to our families being friends, we didn't officially converse beyond "Hello" until a mutual friend's wedding in 2017. We think it was Claire's amazing dance moves that really did a number on Kyle. He really didn't stand a chance and now the rest is history!

We bonded over mutual love for the mountains, trees, and A-frame cabins as well as an overall goal to become mountain hermits as we began dating in October.

Kyle really stuck through with the promise of Claire eventually moving to Colorado after grad school as we spent the first couple years of our relationship traveling back and forth between Omaha and various campsites in the mountains.

4 years down the line and hundreds of "when's it gonna happen" questions later, Kyle waited patiently for Claire to lose anticipation before popping the question in Rocky Mountain National Park while each other's parents were in town to celebrate.
