Claire was under the impression that the two of them were having a simple date night making dinner and then heading to the lake to take photos. They got to the end of Park Point where Brad, when Claire was looking away, set up his camera on a timer to film him asking the question. Claire turned around after wondering what was taking so long, when she found Brad on his knee with a small red box in his hand. After saying a lot of nice things to Claire (that she does not recall what he said to this day) Brad asked her to marry him.
