Mitchell and Claire met each other at a church volleyball game 3 days before classes started. The exact date they met was August 24, 2019. Mitchell and Claire were both not on a team, but were spectators for their friends who happened to be on the same team (Big shout out to Sarah and Jake). Mitch mistook Claire for a girl that he met on his floor earlier that day and decided to approach her (so he says). They ended up talking for hours and decided to exchange snapchats. The next day there was a bonfire which Mitch invited Claire and Sarah to. From the start they were instantly great friends.

The next couple of months they started to create study groups together, and became closer. Claire would invite Mitch to events down in Cincinnati, and Mitch would invite Claire to frat parties (what a great exchange). Later on down the road Mitch and Claire went to a frat party with a group of friends and were enjoying a great party until.......Some liquid courage helped Mitch muster up the courage to ask Claire out.
