The Falcon Hotel
If you wish to wander down the hill to your bed... The Falcon is for you! Right in the heart of Uppingham, this cornerstone of our lovely town is exactly what it says on the tin, 'a stunning 16th Century coaching inn'
Top Tip: Chef Ali is a complete wizz - his new restaurant 'Fern' shows a trendier side of The Falcon you cannot miss - its one of our go-to date spots!
The Lake Isle
A hop and a skip from our Wedding, The Lake Isle is tucked away on Uppingham High Street, just a 5 minute walk from our Wedding. This tidy little restaurant with rooms, never fails to impress with its food - A Hallam favourite for Birthdays and Celebrations
Top-Tip: We love to eat Al-fressco in the little courtyard behind the hotel, if you want a taste of seasonal English Summer food - this is the place to stay!
The Barnsdale Hotel
Now, if Clara and Jarred were attending this Wedding, this is where they would stay! This stylish boutique hotel is the perfect mix of cosy countryside and modern luxury. A 15 minute drive from the wedding, and right outside the market town of Oakham, The Barnsdale is a lovely option for your weekend away.
Top Tip: If you love a good sweet treat, the famous Hambleton Bakery have a little cafe just a 5 minute drive down the road. Rutland Water and Barnsdale Gardens are also right on your doorstep for the nature lovers among you!
Rutland Hall Hotel
Right on the shoreline of Rutland Water, Rutland Hall Hotel have a mixture of hotel rooms and self-catering accommodation, perfect for a longer weekend away. A 15 minute drive from the Wedding, outside the market town of Oakham, this hotel is a great option for families who love the outdoors!
Top-Tip: Book the Classic Rooms to stay in the 1890's Fitzwilliam Hunting Lodge. The main building is also home to The Fitzwilliam Suite and Windsor Suite - two perfect 3 bedroom self-catering suites, perfect for friends and family staying together for the wedding weekend! Book them quick before they're gone!
Hambleton Hall
Relais & Châteaux need no introduction, but we will try our best...
Overlooking Rutland Water, Hambleton Hall is the height of luxury. A 15 minute drive from the wedding, with views almost as delicious as the dining... Hambleton Hall is a no brainer for those of you who like the finer things in life
Top-Tip: Book well in advance if you want to have a taste of the UK’s longest-retained Michelin star - tables go quick - be sure to save us a seat!
Finches Arms
You will have noticed by now, that we love our food and this lovely little Gastro-Pub with rooms is no exception! Nestled on the outskirts of Hambleton Village, a 15 minute drive from the Wedding, this is a perfect pick - there is no better place to be on an English Summer evening than in the garden of The Finches, sipping a crispy pint and playing some cards.
Top-Tip: If you are looking for a place to host a family get-together, the Finches Gardens, or their more private dining room, is a great place to get together, followed by a nice stroll around Rutland Water to walk off lunch!
