David and Clara met while being a part of a youth ministry team at our parish (St Ann’s). David’s older brother Kevin was working there at the time and convinced David to come and be apart of the ministry.

One youth night David gave a talk to the teens which grabbed Clara’s attention. They chatted for a while and exchanged phone numbers for if they ever wanted to hang out.

During a retreat for the teens Clara and David became closer friends which blossomed into an amazing friendship based on their never ending argument of who is better: Batman or Superman!

One day David reached out to Clara and invited her to meet his close friends. These close friends included Clara's future roommate! Clara was quickly integrated into the "FRIENDS life" (on going joke which has especially grown since 2 sets are now getting married!). This lead to Clara and David becoming even more close and David's brother Kevin to push him to finally ask Clara out. Apparently the frustration of his brothers slowness drove him to break a spatula during a group camp out!

A few weeks after this camp out David asked Clara out on their first date on November 5th! Which was also the day they became officially a couple!

Fast forwarding past getting tattoos together (not matching) and surviving a pandemic together.

David dreamed of hiking Pikes Peak for most of his life. Clara decided that the dream was about to become a reality! The trip was planned and executed! David and Clara hiked up the 14,115 mile high mountain and at the top David pulled out the ring and proposed! It was a beautiful moment that will be treasured forever and was made possible by friends who hiked up and encouraged the two travelers during the last stretch where it was getting difficult to breath, let a lone keep moving!

David and Clara are so excited to start there new journey together and are welcoming a new life into the world shortly before the wedding date!
