What is the address of the wedding ceremony and reception?? Are they wheelchair accessible?

The Livengood Barn in Chadwick is where both ceremony and reception will be held. The address is 21647 Thomson Rd, Chadwick, IL 61014. If the ceremony is indoors, there is an elevator lift to access if needed.

FAQs About Directions, Transportation and Accommodations

If you copy the address into any maps application, it will be very easy to find. Signs will be posted along the road to assist, as there is an oddly curved intersection leading up to the venue depending on which direction you are coming from. If you are utilizing the hotel that we have blocked rooms off at, there will be a shuttle bus that will transport you from the hotel to the venue. You will arrive approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. There will be two trips back to the hotel, one at 9:00 and the other 11:00, which is when the reception ends.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

If the ceremony is held inside, there is an elevator lift. Otherwise, the reception is held in a wheelchair-accessible space.

What is the parking availability for the venue?

There is a large parking lot on the property, so parking should be no issue. You may leave your car overnight if needed. We please ask that you are better safe than sorry.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

We will be looking closely at the weather the week of the wedding date and will make a judgment call based on temperature or foreseen inclement weather.

Have we reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Rooms have been blocked off at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Rock Falls, IL. When you make your reservation, you must specify that you are a part of the Thorpe Haas wedding to ensure you get the correct rate. The phone number to call is 815-622-4000

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel?

The Livengood Charter bus will make one trip to the venue from the hotel.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Semi-formal (we kindly ask no jeans please)

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Unless your children are listed on your RSVP, please refrain from bringing them on the day. The children attending will be immediate family.

What type of food will be served at your wedding? Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

A buffet-style dinner will be served by Mo’s BBQ and Catering. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions.

Will there be an open or cash bar?

A keg of Busch Light and Summer Shandy will be provided, as well as our signature drink, The Paloma. (Tequila cocktail) All other drinks will be treated as a cash bar unless you are a part of the wedding party.

What are your registry preferences?

Under our registry, there is a link to our Honeyfund. This is where you can give a monetary gift to contribute to the honeymoon experience. We will not be registered anywhere else.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony time begins. We kindly ask that, unless immediate family, that you do not arrive any earlier.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception? What time will your wedding reception end?

Immediately following our ceremony will be a brief cocktail hour. During this time, the bridal party and family will be taking pictures.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

The Dixon, Sterling, Rock Falls area has many fast food and sit-down restaurant options. There are also a few state parks you could visit as well. Dixon has multiple bars located downtown that are within walking distance from each other.

Can I take photos during your ceremony?

As much as we love you all, we politely ask that you refrain from having your cell phones out during the ceremony. Our photographer is one of the best, and we want you to enjoy the moment as it is.
