Alexander (Zander) and Clare met in August 2014 at Radford University.

After 4 years of being the best of friends (and everyone in the world wondering "Why aren't they dating?!"), Zander asked Clare to officially date. The two moved to Virginia Beach, VA together and truly began their lives.

Over the next four and a half years, they moved into their first home, added a black lab, Sadie, to their family, and a truly rambunctious tuxedo cat, Pippa, to the mix too. They've traveled together: from Key West to the Dominican Republic. But most importantly, built a life they loved.

On October 8, 2022 - Zander asked Clare to marry him.

Just 10 days later, they found out they were expecting their first child, a son- and on July 6, 2023, they welcomed Grady McLanahan into the world.

The future Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Smith look joyfully to summer 2024, when they will wed in Virginia Beach, VA in front of family and friends, whose love, and support have been monumental to their journey together this far.
