Patrick and Clarice met through mutual friends when Clarice was on her "Eat Pray Love" journey to O'ahu. Patrick was Clarice's realtor and helped her find an apartment in Waikiki. Her first day on island Pat picked up Clarice in town and drove back to Lanikai where they kayaked to the Mokolua islands. From that day on, they became best friends.

After months of friendship, Pat finally had the courage to make a move at the infamous Waikiki surfboard pathway, where they shared their first kiss... and the rest was history. They moved in together, they got their first born fur baby Chewbacca, and years later, he finally popped the question.
