Just a short drive from Teasdale, Fruita is a picturesque settlement within Capitol Reef National Park, known for its historic orchards. You can take a leisurely walk around the orchards, try some fresh fruit in season, or visit the Gifford Homestead to see how early settlers lived.
Located to the west of Teasdale, this forest offers numerous outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and camping. The Fishlake itself is a great spot for fishing and boating, while the surrounding forest has trails for all levels of hikers.
A breathtaking viewpoint just outside Capitol Reef, Goosenecks Overlook offers dramatic views of the meandering Sulphur Creek as it carves its way through the landscape. It’s a great spot for photo ops, especially at sunset.
