People You May Know!

It all started in Summer 2022 with that famous Facebook suggestion of "People You May Know!" The algorithm thought we knew each other, but (perhaps luckily for us) not really. Maybe it got fooled by the fact that we had some mutual friends. Anyways, that's what JD claims prompted him to send me a "friend request!" Once we became friends, he sent me a simple message saying "Hi Girisheja! Nitwa Mutangana."

After that day, we would chat here and there, if I was not ghosting him or playing possum! Then, mid fall season of the same year, he told me that he wanted to, and I quote, "Come to Dallas, Texas and take you on a proper date, if you allow me." At first, I thought he was joking (mainly due to distance from Detroit, Michigan), but finally agreed after realizing that he was serious. As destiny would have it, we hit it off when we met. And...the rest is history!

Today JD and I joke that we would not be together had it not been for our "mutual friends." What we now need from you (dear friends and family) is your loving support and presence as we embark on this lifetime journey of grown-ups. To this end, come help us celebrate our union!
