Claudia and Eric, like most modern day romances started on Tinder with both of them swiping right, and Eric super liking Claudia! The world was deep into a pandemic, and they still managed to connect and build their relationship. Long drives on what felt like every back road in northern Ontario, outdoor adventures on Eric’s side by side and take out picnics were the only date options for the first year of their relationship.

Claudia was in her third year of university, working towards a Bachelor’s of Social Work and Eric was starting the first year of his apprenticeship as a Power Line Technician with HydroOne when they began dating in spring 2021.

Eric threw all his charm at Claudia, and they quickly became inseparable and every weekend they spent together either travelling to New Liskeard or Sesekinika. Luckily for them, in January 2022, Eric was transferred to New Liskeard and he moved into the tiny basement apartment Claudia was renting in the shared house with her grandparents, they made it their first home together.

In April 2023, they moved into “The Penthouse” which was the upstairs apartment where they already were. It didn’t take long of living together, that they realized they never wanted to live without the other.

On October 19, 2024 Eric got down on one knee and asked Claudia to marry him. The easiest yes!
