Like American history? Check out the Freedom Trail in Boston! It's Free to tour (some specific sites require admission if you wish to dive deeper). All you have to do is find the red brick trail and the golden seals they track across the downtown area and lead you to all the major historical sites Boston is famous for. It does take a good day to travel if all but you can pick up at any point on the trail and learn something new.

A fun indoor winter activity! See the marine animals of New England. You can even view the seals without entering the aquarium itself at their outdoor tank! This is one of Claudia's favorites.
