Our wedding venue is located in Varenna. Varenna is easily accessible by both train and car. If you prefer to take the train, it's best to fly to Milan Malpensa (MXP) airport and then take the train via Milano Centrale Railway Station (~2.5h). You can book tickets for bus/train travel on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.omio.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.omio.com</a>, and get significant savings if you book ahead.​If you prefer to rent a car, you can fly to Milan Malpensa (MXP) airport (1.5h drive), Milan Linate (LIN) airport (1.5h), or Bergamo (BGY) (1h10m drive). Please let us know if you need help coordinating your transportation to the wedding venue and we will connect you with our wedding planner.

Travel Tips

Our wedding will be hosted at Villa Cipressi on the beautiful Lake Como. To book your room please e-mail the Villa's event manager Mr. Marco De Marco (eventi@rcollectionhotels.com). Please reference in the subject line that you're writing to book your stay for the Carballo Wedding on July 12, 2023 and specify which room you would like to book. The special room rates for our guests are the following: -Classic room- village view: €240/night - Deluxe - water view: €320/night - Prestige- water view: €350/night - Junior suite- water view: €460/night&nbsp; Mr. De Marco will typically respond in one business day with a confirmation and a credit card request link. Please be sure to fill out all required information on the credit card request link, otherwise your room will not be considered confirmed. Your credit card will not be charged until 30 days prior to your stay.

Milan&nbsp;is the capital of the Lombardy region of Italy, and the second-most populous city proper in Italy after Rome.&nbsp; Here are some things to do in Milan: 1. Visit the Duomo: The Duomo di Milano is a stunning cathedral located in the heart of Milan. It is the largest church in Italy and one of the largest in the world, with beautiful gothic architecture and stunning views of the city from the rooftop. 2. Explore the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: This historic shopping arcade is one of the world's oldest shopping malls and is home to high-end boutiques and restaurants. It is also known for its beautiful glass ceiling and intricate mosaics. 3. Visit the Last Supper: Leonardo da Vinci's famous mural, The Last Supper, can be found in the refectory of the Santa Maria delle Grazie church. Tickets are limited, so it's best to book in advance. 4. Enjoy an aperitivo: Milan is famous for its aperitivo culture, which involves having a drink and some snacks before dinner. Head to the Navigli district for some of the best aperitivo bars in the city. 5. Take a stroll through the Brera district: This artsy neighborhood is home to many galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. It's a great place to spend an afternoon wandering around and exploring. 6. Visit the Sforza Castle: This medieval castle houses several museums and art collections, including works by Michelangelo and da Vinci. It's a great place to learn about Milan's history and culture. 7. Explore the Navigli canals: Milan has a system of canals that were once used for transportation, and the Navigli district is a great place to explore them. Take a walk along the canal, or take a boat ride to see the city from a different perspective. 8. Visit the Pinacoteca di Brera: This art museum houses one of the most important collections of Italian art in the world, with works by Raphael, Caravaggio, and many others. 9. Enjoy the nightlife: Milan has a vibrant nightlife scene, with clubs, bars, and music venues to suit every taste. Head to the Porta Romana or Porta Ticinese districts for some of the best nightlife in the city.

Things to Do in Milan

Varenna&nbsp;is one of the most beautiful towns on the lake shores. It faces the beautiful&nbsp;Bellagio to which it is connected by ferry. The town’s center is very pretty with cobblestone streets and a precious medieval church. You can’t miss visiting the famous botanical gardens of&nbsp;Villa&nbsp;Monastero&nbsp;and the visit of this patrician mansion that is today a museum full of the villa’s rich objects and furniture.&nbsp;​If you don’t mind walking, you can follow the path along the&nbsp;Esino&nbsp;River and get to&nbsp;Castello di&nbsp;Vezio, an ancient medieval fortress overlooking&nbsp;Varenna. The castle is also the training of birds of prey and, in the summer,&nbsp;there are daily falconry shows. Hiking&nbsp;to&nbsp;Fiumelatte&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Viandante&nbsp;Path A few kilometers south of&nbsp;Varenna&nbsp;there is the village named&nbsp;Fiumelatte&nbsp;that takes its name from the river that flows trough it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fiumelatte&nbsp;translates as “Milky River” as its peculiarity is its white colour that makes it looks like milk. The river only flows in the&nbsp;spring&nbsp;and summer( between March and September), and is completely dry in the winter season.​Guided hiking tours are available to&nbsp;Fiumelatte&nbsp;and the trails that wind around the eastern side of the lake, starting from the village&nbsp;Fiumelatte. Along the trek you can see the "Sentiero&nbsp;del&nbsp;Viandante”, which is famous for its beauty and panoramic views. Our Welcome Party will essentially be a boat tour, with some great music, food and drinks so you can check this item off your list! 2. Visit Villa del Balbianello: This stunning villa sits on a promontory overlooking the lake and is one of the most popular attractions in Lake Como. It has been used as a filming location for several movies, including Star Wars and Casino Royale. 3. Explore the town of Como: The town of Como is located at the southern end of the lake and is a great place to explore. There are many historic buildings, museums, and shops to visit, and the town is also known for its delicious food. 4. Take a cable car ride to Brunate: Brunate is a small village located on a hill above Como, and the best way to get there is by taking a cable car ride. The ride offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains, and once you arrive in Brunate, you can enjoy hiking trails and panoramic views. 5. Visit the gardens of Villa Carlotta: Villa Carlotta is a beautiful villa located on the western shore of Lake Como. Its gardens are famous for their beauty and include a variety of exotic plants and flowers. 6.
