Our Wedding

Our love story began on a warm Sunday evening in 2019, at a friend’s backyard barbecue. What seemed like a simple get-together turned out to be the beginning of something truly extraordinary. Kembel noticed Claudine from across the yard and invited her over to join him, his brother, and their friends. There was something unspoken in that moment, something quietly powerful. Despite the butterflies, he found the nerve to ask for her number, and Claudine, intrigued by his kind eyes and gentle spirit, said yes. Not long after that night, Kembel invited Claudine on their very first date. As they spent more time together, what started as simple conversations turned into deep connections. By March 2020, he asked her to be his girlfriend—marking the beginning of a love story rooted in faith, friendship, and sincere intention. As a Haitian man and a Jamaican woman, they brought different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions into the relationship. It wasn’t always easy. There were moments of misunderstanding, and seasons that tested their patience and strength. But through every challenge, their love only grew stronger. Together, they learned that true love isn’t just about the good times—it’s about choosing each other, every day, through every joy and every trial. Their story is one of grace, resilience, and a love that refused to give up. Now, they’re stepping into forever—grateful for every moment that led them here.

How We Met 

On the evening of March 20, 2025, what began as a simple romantic date night turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives. We were enjoying a cozy dinner together—just the two of us, laughing, talking, and soaking in each other’s company. Everything felt perfect, but little did Claudine know, the night was about to become even more magical. Midway through the evening, Kembel casually said he was stepping away to use the restroom. Claudine thought nothing of it—until she turned around and found him on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring and looking at her with all the love in the world. With a steady voice and a heart full of hope, Kembel asked the question that would change everything: “Will you make me the happiest man alive and be my wife?” Claudine was elated she said “yes” through a beaming smile, her heart overflowed with joy. They had talked about spending forever together, so she knew it was coming—but Kembel still managed to catch her off guard in the most perfect way. Two cultures, two hearts, and a whole lot of love—they may be Jamaican and Haitian, but in that moment, they spoke the same language: forever.

The Proposal 

As we begin this next chapter as husband and wife, our hearts are full of love, gratitude, and excitement for all that lies ahead. We’ve built a strong foundation—rooted in faith, friendship, and the love we’ve nurtured through every season—and now, we look to the future with wide eyes and open hearts. We dream of growing our family, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and a blend of our Haitian and Jamaican roots. We look forward to exploring the world together—collecting memories, not just souvenirs—as we travel hand in hand through life’s adventures. We’re also committed to cheering each other on in every step of our careers, encouraging each other to chase our dreams, celebrate our wins, and grow together through every challenge. The journey won’t always be perfect, but we know that with God at the center and love as our compass, the future is bright—and this is only the beginning.

When I'm not dedicating my time as a nurse or working as a front office receptionist, you'll most likely find me indulging in my greatest passions: whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, exploring exciting new places through travel, or simply unwinding and relaxing with a perfect glass of red wine.
