Clayton and Erica met in college at The University of Arkansas. They were in the same friend group and became study buddies when they realized they had all the same classes. After years of friendship, the two realized they had feelings for each other. Even though neither one could tell you when the first date was, it consisted of a hodge podge including Green Submarine, bowling, Olive Garden, and Geraldis. They were officially dating by October 2019. Within 3 months, hometown dates started up with a wedding in Houston, and concluded in Kansas City with a classic Boulevard Brewery tour. Upon graduation Clayton went to San Antonio to complete a Master's degree, while Erica went back to Kansas City to complete a post-bacc program.

After enduring a year of long distance, Erica moved to San Antonio for the final year of her boo thang's schooling. To top off an amazing year the two spent in San Antonio, they decided to adopt a spunky, charismatic husky named Major. The stars aligned when the couple both got into medical school in Kansas City. After meticulous planning, Clayton proposed around his favorite time of year, Christmas. In the summer of 2024, Clayton and Erica are moving to Wichita to complete their 3rd year of medical school. They can't wait to party it up as husband and wife with y'all in October!
