Cliff and Julia met in late 2009 when they met as servers at the Mediterranean Grill in Bryn Mawr, PA. They became friends over serving Persian food and arguing about the winter olympics. They then dated for a short time, but weren't ready for a long term relationship.

In the summer of 2012, Cliff and Julia reconnected over a drink at the Plough and the Stars in Philadelphia, PA. In the fall of 2012, they made the commitment that they would make their relationship a priority by spending Thursdays out in Malvern, PA where Cliff lived and weekends in Philadelphia where Julia lived.

Since then, Julia and Cliff, both very independent and strong willed, have been a team. Cliff encouraged Julia to pursue a different career when she was not happy teaching, and supported her when she returned to school. When Julia was finishing school, Cliff took a step back and helped Julia seek a job in Washington, DC. Cliff initially struggled in DC, but Julia inspired him to apply for a job at Grand Cata, a Latin American Wine Company, a job that he now loves.

Julia and Cliff have remained committed to each other, motivated each other, laughed, cried, worried and cheered for each other throughout the past decade. They have shared six homes, 2 dogs and beautiful times with friends and family. They are excited to continue their relationship in marriage and know that through good and bad, their relationship will continue to grow stronger through a lifetime of partnership.
