Our Wedding

We first met in high school in our junior year Bible class, but we had known of each other for the past three years. He was actually teasing me for an award that I had received, but that sparked conversation for the next few weeks! Though originally going our separate ways, in the following months, as I took on the role of a worship leader and he was the main sound technician, we began talking once again. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on December 12th, 2015, and from there we started our journey together. After nine months of dating and lots of adventures, he proposed in front of the Disneyland castle surprising me before he left for school in Florida. We are currently navigating through long distance as he studies Show Production at Full Sail University and I study Neuroscience at UCLA. We both look forward to our wedding on August 4th, 2018 and to the many years we get to happily spend together in the future. Matt and I are extremely thankful for the grace and love filled life that we have been given as a couple.

I choose my father to be one of my best men because it follows a southern tradition that my mother wanted me to do, so this one is for you mom. I also wanted my dad to be up there with me because he is someone that I look up to in every area of life. He has shown me hard work, what it means to be a man of God, and to love unconditionally. Thank you for everything you have done dad. It means the world to have you by my side today.

Functioning both as Mother of the Bride and as my Matron of Honor, my mom has been my best friend since I can remember. Over the years, she has taught me what it means to be a woman of integrity, kindness, and love. My mom has conquered every challenge I have faced and has celebrated every goal I have reached. She has gone above and beyond what any young girl could ask for in a mother. You will always be a role model to me and no one deserves this place more than you mama.

Angie has been one of my best friends since high school. She has been a sister and supporter throughout the years, always ready to listen and give advice for anything I had been going through. No matter how far apart we are from each other, I know I can always count on you. You are an absolute rockstar, Ang. I am beyond excited that you get to be up here experiencing this special day with me.

 Justin is not only my older brother, but he is much more than that to me. He is one of my best friends. I cherish our countless golf rounds and all the advice I get from him. Justin has shown me how to be man when life gets tough and how to respect others in everyday life. Justin, thank you for taking the time to be present in my life, for always keeping me humble with your golf game, and most importantly for always being there for me.

Holly has been an amazing friend and supporter throughout Matt and I's relationship. I have loved every Disney trip, every vacation whether in Ohio, Florida, or California, and every moment I have gotten to spend with your three kids. Thank you for pouring into Matt and helping shape the man he is today. I am so happy that I get to call such an amazing mother and woman a sister. You are a blessing Holly!

 Jimmy may only be my sister's husband, but, to me, he is more than just my brother-in-law, he is a real brother. Jimmy and I have had the pleasure of sharing many golfing rounds together making for some amazing memories. He keeps every moment full with witty comments and laughter. Jimmy thank you for being a a great man and brother. I look forward to having you up here with me today.

Kendall has been such an encouragement as Matt and I have journeyed through long distance. Your constant joy, peace, and faith throughout a long distance relationship has been an inspiration to me. I am grateful for all the fun and lighthearted conversations we have had and look forward to the many more we will have. Thank you Kendall for joining me on this special day!

 Chase has been one of my best high school friends dating back to the time we roomed together on our school's leadership retreat. He has been with me every step of the way. Chase is some that I can come to with anything and will support me no matter what. Chase, thank you for being such a great friend and encourager over the last few years. I miss all of our Taco Bell lunches and I look forward to continuing that over the years.

 Cameron is my nephew, who is never afraid to go on an adventure. Even though he is only seven years old he has shown me how to live life with no fear and to not be phased by any obstacles. I cannot wait to see him grow into a determined and adventurous man. You are truly a representative of  #camdwildandfree.

Parker was the first little girl to capture my heart completely. Her sweet heart and joy for life has inspired me even though she is much younger than myself. Parker is a true light to those around her and I cannot wait to see who she touches in her lifetime. I am glad she could stand up front with the rest of us!

Hartley is truly a representative of what it means to be a spunky, independent little girl. She always keeps me on my toes, but I adore every moment we have together. Our little "sissy" moments get me through everyday.  I love my sister to the moon and back and Matt and I have loved to see her grow up over the years.

 Camden is easily one of the funniest kids I know. It is weird to think that Camden is now my brother-in-law after seeing him grow up over the years. Camden, thank you for showing me what it means to live a care free life. I am glad that you are a part of my life and I look forward to all the trampoline jumping, food eating, and baseball playing moments we have!

Addi James is another sweetheart I love dearly. She may have not been so fond of me at first, but I think she has finally accepted I am a pretty cool girl. I am excited that I will get to be her aunt and watch her grow up as she becomes an amazing girl.

 Chase is my youngest nephew and, even though he is only one, I can already tell he is going to grow up to be a kind and thoughtful man. He and his sister have been such a blessing to Cobie and I. I am glad that this is a memory I can look back on and see this little guy as being a part of it.
