I will never forget the first time I saw Nikolay. In 2015, we both started freshman year of college at JCJC. He was a cheerleader, and I was in the student section at a football game. I looked over to where the cheerleaders were, and I noticed him staring at me. He wouldn’t look away! I didn’t know if I felt flattered or creeped out. He somehow found me on Instagram and followed me, and he didn’t message me until Easter of 2019. I almost didn’t respond, but I decided to give him a chance and so thankful that I did. Ever since our first date (enough though I didn’t understand much of what he said because I wasn’t used to his accent), we’ve been inseparable. I found someone who I can really connect with, a best friend. I cannot imagine my life without my person, my safe place, my always and forever.
