Codey and Kelsey first crossed paths in the early year of 2019 at a racetrack in Florida, where their shared passion for race cars sparked an instant connection. Even though they had a long distance relationship, the two were inseparable. When they got to see each other they spent their time racing, hunting, and exploring the differences of their hometowns. Their relationship blossomed, and by the end of the summer, they were officially a couple.

As the years went by, their bond deepened. Kelsey pursued her career opportunities in her hometown in Georgia, the distance became a challenge. Determined to be closer to Kelsey, Codey made a significant decision in 2022. He packed up his life in Florida and moved to Georgia. In December 2024, The Taylor family was scheduled to take Christmas pictures with a skilled photographer on a farm. With the help of her family, Codey planned a beautiful, surprised engagement for his sweetheart. During the session Codey got down on one knee and presented Kelsey with a beautiful engagement ring.
