Nick and I met in Anchorage, Alaska. We both come to Alaska to pursue on our own adventures in the Fall of 2012. Nick rode up on his BMW motorcycle Beaky 5,000 miles on the Alcan Highway starting from Apple Valley, Minnesota going to Fairbanks, Alaska. He was planning on riding his motorcycle from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, South America.


I went to Anchorage, Alaska to pursue my B.S in Marine Biology at Alaska Pacific University. Looking to study humpback whales. While at college I met Sarah King (MOH) while working at the Moseley Sport Center on campus. Sarah and I were in the same Marine Biology program at APU. After getting to know each other coaching swim lessons together and going out on the town we have been friends since. Each of us working in our careers of fisheries.


I met Nick at a local bar called Platinum Jacks. Sarah and I went out one night and Sarah's friend Kyle brought Nick out. He knew we were both Minnesotans that moved up here to Alaska. Nick saw me again at our friend Mandy's birthday and talked to me and he asked for my number. On Nick and I's first date Nick asked if I wanted to ride with him on back of his motorcycle to Minnesota since both of us were heading back for the summer. I said maybe lets date for the few weeks and see where that goes. Which we dated and got to know more about each other. Nick and I rode on his motorcycle back to Minnesota. Visiting Banff, Jasper, Glacier and Bad Lands National Parks on the way. Camping and seeing the northern lights above and making it in the Nick of time for my internship. This was just the beginning of our adventures together.

We are now taking on our next adventure of marriage! We eloped in Whittier, Alaska June 21st 2024. We will have a reception celebrate with you at Omni Winery and Taproom Saturday August 31st at 6:00pm. In Rosemont,MN. Please RSVP on our wedding Website by August 16th.
