Our Story

Our beginning

In December of 2019, Chloe and Cody’s paths finally crossed in a way neither could have predicted, despite knowing of each other for years. Their connection began through Chloe’s brother, Mason, who happened to be Cody’s best friend in high school. While they’d interacted in passing before, it wasn’t until Mason invited Chloe to join a group for indoor bouldering that something truly shifted.

That day something sparked.

Climbing side by side, Cody and Chloe found themselves laughing, encouraging one another, and talking with a kind of ease that felt instantly natural. What started as a casual afternoon outing quickly turned into something deeper - an undeniable connection that neither of them saw coming.

What was meant to be a fun day at the climbing gym turned into the beginning of a love story. A moment so small on the surface, yet so meaningful underneath. They both look back on that day with deep gratitude, knowing it marked the start of a journey they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives.

The Proposal

On a crisp winter afternoon, Chloe, Cody, their daughter Emmie, and Chloe’s parents, Megan and Josh, wandered through the enchanting Grinch Ice Sculpture Show. Glittering sculptures of Whoville, the Grinch, and Cindy Lou Who shimmered beneath colorful lights but it was the towering figure of the Grinch with his heart growing three sizes that truly stole the scene.

As Chloe paused to take in the magic, Cody felt his own heart swell. He knew this was the moment.

With a deep breath and a glance at Chloe, he dropped to one knee. The ice beneath him was cold, but the love in his heart was warm and steady.

“Chloe,” he said, voice thick with emotion, “will you marry me?”

Chloe’s eyes widened, shifting from the ring to Cody’s face. Surrounded by family and wonder, she softly whispered, “Yes.”

Behind them, the Grinch’s heart was frozen in ice but theirs was glowing and alive. In that moment, they both knew: their love had grown beyond measure.
