Cody and Lexi met during their time in FFA in high school. Lexi, a senior, had a goat named Buckley, while Cody, a junior, raised two pigs, Reba and George. Both were on the FFA officer team, and they started spending every night together at the barn with their friends and animals. Over time, they became best friends and loved their time together.

They began dating on January 6th, 2021. In August 2021, Lexi went off to college at Texas Tech, and they maintained a long-distance relationship for a year while Cody finished high school. After Cody graduated, he joined Lexi at Texas Tech. On December 15, 2024, they got engaged. It was the happiest day of their lives so far! Now, both are set to graduate in May 2025 with their bachelor’s degrees. They’re excited to celebrate many big milestones this year!
