The Background: The couple first met through mutual friends in the summer of 2018. Marial and Cody's first date was a dinner and movie date to McAllister's and to watch the Incredibles 2 on June 23, 2018! At this point, Marial had recently graduated high school and began attending Angelo State University. Cody was starting his senior year at Ballinger High School. During Cody's senior year, Marial attended countless football, basketball, and baseball games. Cody supported Marial tremendously throughout nursing school and cheered her on every step of the way, especially when she wanted to give up. After high school, Cody moved to Abilene and went to Hardin-Simmons University to play football and baseball. Marial continued to attend many football and baseball games. Marial moved to Abilene in December of 2021 to work as an RN after graduating college. In August, Cody will be starting physical therapy school at HSU. Together, Marial and Cody have an adorable Yorkie named Koda Bear! The Proposal: On February 10, 2024, Cody proposed to Marial at a beautiful country barn outside of Winters/Ballinger. His parents were able to capture the moment in photographs. It was a beautiful day and an easy YES!!! Next Steps: At the time of the wedding, Cody and Marial will have been dating for 6 years, 7 months, and 11 days!2,418 days total!!! The couple plans to go on their honeymoon later in the year, around August 2025, when Cody will have a short time off from physical therapy school!

Sam and Cody first met while attending Hardin-Simmons University and played together on the baseball team! Later, they became roommates and spent many hours playing pool in their game room and playing their guitars.

Jill and Marial have been great friends since high school when they started spending time together at church retreat (Teen ACTS Retreat). They spent many summers together here!

Cam and Cody became friends in college in Abilene and later lived together as roommates. They both meet up to play golf whenever they can!

Maddie and Marial have been friends since 1st grade and have been together through it all. From awkward junior high years, through high school and into college!

Edgar and Cody went to high school together, and both went to Hardin-Simmons University, where they played on the football team! The two were also roommates, along with most of the other groomsmen!
