Do remember that it is the middle of winter and in the mountains weather conditions are always changing! If you fly you will need to get a rental car try to get a rental car with 4 wheel drive just in case of snow. The venue is an easy gorgeous 2 hours and 28 minutes drive away from the airport.

However long you want as long as you have a room booked at Emerald lake lodge the night of the wedding. Our contract says we have to have so many rooms booked the night of our wedding.

Yes you will be driving thru two National Parks and Emerald Lake is in Yoho National Park. So you will need two of them one for Banff National Park and one for Yoho National Park. It's most likely going to be cold and chilly! We are hoping to have the ceremony outside but if the weather is too bad, we will have a backup plan to move the ceremony indoors.

There is no WIFI in the rooms but there are a few spots on the premises that do have WIFI. The Clubhouse and the main lodge where you check in at has WIFI.

This is a completely unplugged destination, so there are no TV’s in the rooms. Giving every couple the chance to unplug from the real world and enjoy each others company! But if you are someone who likes to fall asleep with the TV on don’t hesitate to bring your laptop with some downloaded movies! Or if you just need some noise to fall asleep bring your sound machine! (You know who you are!)

There are 3 restaurants at the resort: - Cilantro on the lake, which will be closed the day of the wedding due to that is where we are going to be having our beautiful reception! - Kicking Horse Lounge, located in the main lodge. - Mount Burgess also located in the main lodge ( you will need reservations for this restaurant.) There will also be a breakfast buffet Daily from 7am to 1030am that you will have to pay for. Or you can always explore away from the resort and go to Field which is a 20 minute drive. Banff which is 1 hour and 10 minute drive, or Golden a 55 minute drive. Feel free to explore it’s gorgeous area!

As much as we would like to invite all the children of our loved ones, because we love them as if they were our own! Due to this being a destination wedding and our budget we are making this an adult only wedding. We hope that we are giving everyone with little ones enough time to figure childcare out, and we appreciate your understanding.

Everything is within walking distance. Once you get there you will not need your vehicle unless you plan on exploring and adventuring out.

We suggest flying into Calgary International YYC. Do know that if you get a flight that has a connecting flight, your first stop into Canada you will go thru customs.
