It was October 2021 and Coleen had just moved to Denver to begin a new travel nursing assignment. In typical twenty first century fashion, she got on the dating app, Bumble, and started swiping. Throughout Coleen's time as a travel nurse, she rarely went on dates because they usually turned out terribly, and she moved so frequently she figured nothing would come of it. This time around was different. Chance and Coleen liked each other's profiles and started talking immediately. Their first date was at a Denver bar with ping pong tables, where Coleen made sure to take it easy on Chance. They followed the first date with a coffee date, then a dinner date, and things took off from there.

Coleen and Chance had been going strong for about nine months when Coleen had to make a career decision. If she wanted to continue travel nursing, she had to leave Denver temporarily to complete a contract elsewhere. As difficult as it was, Coleen left Denver for a four month contract in San Diego. Chance visited frequently, and Coleen got to show him around her favorite city. The distance was a test for their relationship, and although it was not easy, it made them stronger than ever. When the contract ended, Coleen returned to Denver and moved in with Chance. Chance finally popped the question on a trip to Europe on the terrace of their hotel room overlooking the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. Coleen and Chance cannot wait to celebrate their wedding day with their closest friends and family.
