We met by chance at a college summer week-long program, during the last two days of which we hung out together. Thinking we would never meet again we went our separate ways, before, yet again, meeting by chance one day after church. After Seth successfully stumbled through a conversation, Colette had the forethought to ask for his number, which he was happy to offer. Talking on and off for a couple of weeks led to a date, ( Colette was unaware of it being a date because of Seth’s implicit talent of sucking at clear communication), which was had on October 14, 2017.

After almost a year of dating, Seth went off to college, which began the next three and a half years of maneuvering the long-distance relationship. Thankfully, Colette stuck with him and they got to celebrate being together, more substantially, in the following years. Until, finally, Seth put on his big boy pants and asked the big question, on October 14, 2023.

To Seth’s relief, the question was met with a “YES” and we are excited to start this new chapter together and look forward to celebrating it with everyone we cherish.
