Our story began the day before my first day of college at LBC. My brother, Matthew, introduced me to Colin at the block party where we first became friends. Over the next year and a half, we spent time together with a large group of friends and got to know each other better. In March of 2023, Colin started to develop feelings beyond just friendship. He expressed those feelings to me and asked me out at the beginning of April where I decided to see if there was anything more there than the friendship we had already built.

We went on our first date on April 10, 2023. Colin picked me up and had a bouquet in hand with the help and expertise of Alyssa Hamilton. He took me to Fox Meadows to get a sweet treat and then drove me to all of his favorite spots around Lititz where he grew up. Colin ended the date by driving to Stoner Park where he set up a picnic with my favorite snacks and had country music playing while we talked for hours. When he took me back to LBC, I was smitten. I told my now maid of honor, Sheyenne King, how amazing the date was and how much I loved spending time with Colin.

A few weeks later, Colin was able to talk with my dad, and so on May, 4, 2023, he asked me to be his girlfriend. After that, I was able to watch Colin graduate and finish his last baseball season at LBC. The next year was filled with summer weekend visits, movie nights, mini golf dates, Colin taking care of me post-surgery, beach trips, FaceTime calls, attending weddings, and Sunday church together.

All of these moments led to September 29, 2024 when Colin asked me to be his wife. He surprised me and set up a beautiful proposal with the help of our families and a few very special friends. Now, we are so excited to start this next stage of life together as man and wife. Our journey has been marked by God's faithfulness and unfailing promises of love and grace. We cannot wait to see what He has in store for our lives and our marriage together as we seek and follow Him together.
