We are so incredibly excited to share the place that holds our heart with all of our favorite people. We want everyone to have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish way of life and enjoy everything Sevilla has to offer.
To help, we put together a list of the things we think you may need (or may just want to know) about Sevilla!
Sevilla holds all of the unique charm of Spain, but some things can be a bit quirky to American's. These are just a few good things to know:
- Adjust to the local eating times. Breakfast is typically around 9 or 10am, lunch is served between 2 and 3pm, and dinner begins around 9pm and will last well into the evening.
- Toma una siesta! Majority of the local businesses will close between 3 and 5 for midday break (otherwise known as a siesta). We recommend taking a quick nap or enjoy a nice break during this time.
- Don't be afraid of the small, unassuming restaurants. These are the bread and butter of Sevilla cuisine. Grab a table outside and enjoy!
- Enjoy the slowness of life! Be prepared for things to take longer - Spaniards commonly move a bit slower and maximize the time spent together.
