What is the venue like?
The Grantham House is a home from the 1840s located about 20 minutes from central Goldsboro. It is an exclusively outside venue—our ceremony will take place in front of the home and our reception will be just a few steps away in front of the barn. The reception area includes fully-functional bathrooms, soft perimeter lighting, and a bonfire area that we will for sure be using. (Bonus: there’s lots of cute farm animals for the kiddos to enjoy!)
What is the weather like/what should I wear?
Early March in North Carolina is usually still on the chilly side. Temperatures usually range from 60-70°F or 16-20°C. We recommend pants/longer skirts and dresses. We also suggest bringing a light jacket, as most of the reception will take place once the sun sets, though there will be a fire to keep us warm!
Are kids invited?
Yes, kids are invited to join in the celebration! There’s also plenty of cute farm animals for them to see!
