Happily ever after

4 years ago Zach crashed a car, resulting in two people from complete opposite families, sides of the country and lifestyles being brought together. Colleen and Zach were introduced over 4 1/2 years ago by Colleen’s best friend (shout out to Melissa). Zach didn’t’ know she lived in Indiana while he was stationed in South Carolina. So the only logical choice was to become best friends, fall in love and drive many thousands of miles on a motorcycle to meet her. It was instant sparks. 4 years later, multiple years of long distance, a cross country move and three cats later here we are and remain, forever intwined no matter what life throws in the couples direction
The proposal

One of everyone’s favorite questions to ask newly engaged couples is how they got engaged. Zach and Colleen’s is definitely as romantic and fitting as their love for each other. The two recently took a cruise to Italy to celebrate their anniversary and just take a vacation together. Zach had been carrying the ring around the whole trip, in his waist band (amazingly it didn’t get lost), trying to find the perfect spot. None of them felt perfect. So he felt like the most perfect way to propose was under the stars and alone. The evening they were visiting Sicily, Zach took Colleen up to the top deck under a full moon and tons of stars to share something special to him and give her the experience he sees out at sea. He pretended to trip and proceeded to get down on one knee and pop the question. The rest is history
