Our Engagement

“We had talked about engagement throughout our relationship, but hadn’t talked about a date until March. One day I asked him when he wanted to go ring shopping, and we set a date to do so in April. Getting the ring ordered was an adventure with way too many difficulties, but when we finally got the set in June, it was well worth the wait.” —The Bride
The Proposal

The proposal wasn’t flashy, but it was everything they wanted. Evan didn’t tell her when the rings finally came in the mail, and surprised her with them by getting down on one knee at Vacation Bible School, offering the ring in one hand and an iced coffee in the other. (He knew coffee would up his chance at a yes). Colleen grinned when the ring box was opened upside down and laughed even harder when she dropped the ring while trying to get it out of the box. Thankfully no one was around to witness their silliness. But as silly and simple as the proposal was, they wouldn’t have it any other way.
