The trip from Anchorage to Girdwood takes you along the Turnagain Arm. The majestic drive follows the Cook Inlet with breathtaking scenery, multiple pull-offs (such as Beluga Point) where you can take pictures and go on small day-hikes. The Chugach mountain range is front an center with lots of mountain views AKA Glacial Facials
It’s not the most convenient option, because there are only 1-2 trains each day (AM/PM), BUT very scenic and fun

· The Coastal Classic Line: Anchorage - Girdwood - Seward
· Glacier Discovery Line: Anchorage - Girdwood - Whittier - Spencer - Grandview
· Train station in anchorage is approx 15 min from the airport by uber/Lyft
· From train station in Girdwood, take the free shuttle into town
We’re aware there is already a shortage of rental cars. We have a few shuttles reserved to get people around on the day/night of the wedding, more details to follow.
You can easily get a ride share from the airport to anywhere you need to go. A Lyft from the airport to Girdwood will likely run around $80. It’s about a 45 minute drive.
Once in Girdwood, there are not a lot of options for ride shares. During the day, you still may be able to get a ride, but this is far less reliable than other travel options from Girdwood.
Southbound leaves from Visit Anchorage (in Anchorage, 15 minute drive from airport)
Northbound leaves from Girdwood Station & Portage Day Lodge
