Our Wedding

Our story started in an unlikely place... The Kingdom of Bahrain! After 5 weeks at sea on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt, the ship pulled into port in Bahrain for 4 days of rest and relaxation. We had an awesome day at the pool, relaxing and enjoying our time with our friends. Without knowing it, I had put my bags in Devin's room. When I couldn't get into the room at the end of the day, Devin offered to help me out with his key. My girl friends and I grabbed our bags and proceeded to get ready for the rest of the evening. We all went to Fiddler's Green, an Irish bar in the basement of the hotel. It was there that Devin and I shared a calzone and were stuck to each other like glue for the rest of the night. Devin and I spent the rest of the port visit in Bahrain together - spending days at the pool and evenings out to dinner and enjoying the Bahrain night life.Back on the ship, in a very unlikely place, our love grew. In between treating patients with joint pain and muscle strains and Devin flying missions... We spent late nights in the wardroom 1 &amp; 2 talking (the food service attendants may have been the first to know we were smitten), worked out together in Big Stick, and once in a blue moon I would watch a movie with Devin in his luxurious 8-man stateroom... We ended up falling in love in Dubai, visited Bahrain 3 more times, Dubai once more, and then left the Persian Gulf to explore Singapore and Hawaii together. We pulled into San Diego 8.5 months after leaving Norfolk to end our around the world deployment.It was only a few months later that Devin asked me to marry him! It's been an exciting and unforgettable journey to starting the rest of our lives together. I'm so excited for the big celebration and I hope you'll be able to join us!

Isabelle is my Matron of Honor and best friend for over 15 years! She has stuck by my side through all of my awkward stages and continues to love me through it. I can always count on her to laugh at my jokes (except when they aren't funny) and give me honest feedback (even when I don't want it). She is a friend that has held my hand through life and I'm so excited to have her by my side on our big day! 

Isabelle Franz

Maureen is my cousin and the first friend I ever made! We have awesome memories of visiting Gramma Lana as kids and even starred in a music video singing Ace of Base with our other cousin Katie Fitzpatrick. I can always count on Maureen to be the life of the party. She has always been supportive of me and I am so grateful to have her support me on our big day!

Maureen Epstein

Megan is my close girlfriend, our relationship strengthened and sealed after sailing around the world on our deployment aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. We explored Norfolk, England, Bahrain, Dubai, Singapore, Hawaii, and San Diego together and have wonderful memories from each place. I can always count on her to be a calming voice in the chaos so I'm glad she'll be with me on our big day!

Megan Villapudua

Trey is Devin's younger brother. They grew up doing almost everything together from football in the front yard to video games in the living room. Like all brothers, they fought about silly things, but developed a close relationship through it all. We're both happy that he will be joining us on our big day.

Trey Freeman

Cody is Devin's youngest brother. Much like with Trey, Devin and Cody also grew up sharing experiences. The most memorable being all three brothers and their father racing motocross on the weekends. Additionally, in the last few years Cody has developed a shared passion for, and is pursuing aviation. We both look forward to having him with us on our big day.

Cody Freeman

Sawyer is Colleen's brother. Colleen has always been described as "Sawyer's sister" and was happy to have the title throughout grade school. She grew up wanting to do whatever her big brother did and has looked up to him as they've grown up. We are both happy that he will join us in support on our big day!
