Colleen and John met on Bumble, a dating app, back in late February 2020. After talking for a few days they decided to meet into person and go bowling! Although John tried his best, he got his butt whooped (winning one game out of three). They enjoyed getting to know each other and set up a second date not too long after. They strolled around Tyler State Park, where Colleen started to fall for John (quite literally fell on her butt in the mud). Although embarrassed, Colleen didn’t know that John was already falling for her too. John knew she was something special and wanted to officially ask Colleen out, so he set up a day for her to come over for dinner. On March 28, 2020 they were official and their love started to grow.

On a Weiland family trip to Tuscany, Italy, John thought it would be the perfect time to ask Colleen to marry him. He secretly scheduled a tour of the Castello di Celsa castle grounds. He even got a photographer and videographer to capture the moment. After having the ring hidden for 6 months, John got down on one knee on April 19, 2022 in the most beautiful spot in the gardens overlooking the castle like it was a movie. Colleen was ecstatic and of course said YES! After happy tears we’re wiped away, the whole family celebrated with champagne. The couple took advantage of having a photographer there and proceeded to have a beautiful engagement shoot around the castle.
