We met through a mutual friend Tim Sharp. Jake worked with Tim at Rexnord Industrial Chain (not yet a division of Regal Beloit), and Colleen and Tim were Evans Scholars at Marquette. We first met at the Crafty Cow in Bayview where Jake was hosting his annual celebratory outing after successfully hosting an ISO 9001 audit (quality mumbo jumbo). Jake and Tim were celebrating and Colleen also came by to hang out! Jake was taken by Colleen's smiling face and fun personality and reached out after that. We had our first official date at Hubbard Park Lodge in Shorewood.

Some of Jake's favorite memories with Colleen are going to Summerfest to see The Killers, making her get up early to watch the sunrise over the lake, Brewers games, our weekend bike rides, golfing, garage bbqs, and most important her ability to make Jake laugh and smile!
