It was literally the plot to an early 2000's romcom.

On some random day in June of 2018, Collin walked into Donny's work and ordered his basic Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato. Little did he know that Donny was going to risk it all for some reason write his name and number on the cup of Collin's drink. No he does not have the cup anymore lol. But... he did keep his number. It took maybe a day for Collin to even text Donny.

After that first text a date was set for June 26th 2018. We picked the most romantic place ever.... Buffalo Wild Wings. This is where Collin found out that Donny is directionally challenged. At the time he was living off of 84th and Colorado Blvd. and Collin was off 104th and Sheridan. That being said we decided to meet half way, so Buffalo Wild Wings on 104th and Grant was the place. Well... Collin shows up there, and Donny is no where, but is supposably there at the same time. Lo and behold, he went to the one on 104th and Church Ranch. Collin had to pass his home to get to Donny. It crossed his mind once or twice to just make the left turn to home.

SURPRISE! He didn't.

He made it to Donny at the wrong Buffalo Wild Wings and was greeted with an awkward hug. According to Collin it was weird but not to anyone else.

If you really know Collin, he is not a huge fan of bone in wings lol and Donny ordered them.

We were off to a really great start!

That being said Collin must have seen something in Donny because they ended up seeing a movie right after dinner (Oceans 8) and just sat in the car talking and getting to know one another.

From this first date they found away to see each other every day for an entire month. Even if it meant lying to the moms to make it happen.

Until July 23rd 2018 they made it official.

4 years and 10 months later we made the commitment to say i do.
Donny never thinks Collin pays attention, but he always does. He knew exactly the ring to get him. One day Collin conveniently had to run into work on his day off to get a big deal. Little did Donny know he was on his way to pick up the ring an entirely different big deal.
Prior to getting the ring, Collin made sure to call 3 of the most important people in Donnys life; his Mom Rayann, Sister RaeMarie, and his Dad Country. Obviously all of their answers were positive. Otherwise we may or may not be here today.
Now, the only question was, where and when?
Mexico was on the radar for May 2023. Booked the trip with our close friends, they were able to help Collin hide and plan everything until the day came.
A plan was made for a sun rise beach proposal. We werent really sure when in the trip we were going to do it. So we made up a code that if a sunrise plan was made then that is when it was going to happen.
We picked the morning of Wednesday May 17th. We didnt think it through that we had the whole rest of the day/night to go.
Collin had a bit more rough of a night then Donny. They both took care of each other to the best of their abilities. Donny took a different approach of throwing Collin into the shower and leaving him to sleep it off in there while he slept nice and comfortably in the king sized bed all by himself.
Keep in mind about 3 hours later a proposal was taking place.
Time went on and Collin made it to the bed somehow, and Donny was the one that had to wake him up for the sun rise. We were the lasts of all our friends to make it to our own proposal.
We played it off as we were taking pictures in front of the sun rise on the beach.
Bre was the designated ring holder until it was time.
Finally the time came for Collin and Bre to do a smooth pass of the ring.
Donny and Collin started to take their pictures and then Collin started to get down on his knee. Donny directly at the ring and asked are you serious. With the very real ring in his hand Collin graciously asked, (as the most romantic person he is) do I have to say it?
Donny says yes, with some tears to Collins unforgettable proposal.
They go in for a celebratory kiss and Donny resists as a result of the night before and how Collin was cuddling the toilet prior to his over night swim in the shower.
