Our Wedding

Our story starts back in 2018. We were both finishing up high school and deciding where to go to college. Colt had grown up in southeastern Ohio his entire life and was very familiar with Ohio University. Despite offers from many universities, he ultimately decided to wrestle at OU and pay homage to his hometown. Grace's older brother was attending Ohio University and she frequently visited him. During those visits, it did not take long for her to fall in love with OU and all it offers. Throughout freshman and sophomore year, Colt was devoted to being a student athlete and Grace became heavily involved in her sorority. Therefore, it was not until junior year that we met. One of Grace's sorority sisters was dating a wrestler and she invited Grace to a party that the wrestlers would be at. During the party, Grace looked over and saw a boy who she later would learn to be Colt. Soon after, we began to get to know each other and realized we had mutual friends and many shared interests. It did not take long for us to fall in love and become best friends. We began dating in December of 2020 and stayed together throughout college. In December of 2022, Colt got down on his knee in Nelsonville, OH, only 20 minutes from where our story began at Ohio University. We currently reside in Huntington, WV, where Colt sells business insurance and Grace works as a child and adolescent mental health counselor.
