Who would have ever guessed that a simple swipe on Tinder one summer evening in 2018 would lead to this beautiful journey? From the moment Colton and I connected, something felt different—like the universe was quietly weaving our paths together. I remember driving from Bremerton to his apartment in Port Orchard for our first date, a cozy night filled with laughter, The 100 on the screen, and Domino’s pizza. Little did I know, his choice to use his Domino’s rewards for me was the first of many small, sweet gestures that would come to mean the world.

Not long after we met, I embarked on my sobriety journey, a brave step forward in my life. And in the midst of that, on our favorite holiday—Halloween—Colton asked me to be his girlfriend while I was away. When I returned, I moved into his little room in that apartment where he lived with his best friend James, and our life together truly began.

That New Year’s Eve, we discovered we were expecting our daughter, Clover—a moment that changed everything and filled our hearts with a love we’d never known. We knew then it was time to find a home where our growing family could flourish, and so we moved into our first place in Illahee Preserve. The years that followed were filled with adventure and growth—moving to my aunt Jackie’s place with chickens as roommates, a wild chapter in South Carolina that brought shark tooth hunting and unexpected memories, and then finally settling in Tennessee, where we poured our hearts into building our forever home.

Through every twist and turn, every move and milestone, we’ve grown not only as partners but as a family—welcoming our second baby, building a homestead, and embracing life’s beautiful chaos together. It’s been a journey so rich and full, it could fill volumes with stories of love, resilience, and hope.
