70 Days To Go!
Jordan Ruvo
Jordan Ruvo - Best Man
Ruvo and I have been friends since our senior year of high school. We started out as friends because we were merely in the same friend group. But that friendship changed entirely the more we hung out together. The two of us were the last two single friends of the group for a period of time, which meant that we spent many nights hanging out just the two of us. Those nights included everything from playing NBA 2K to arguing over football, as well as, lots of movies amongst other things. I'm still not sure how a deeply intense Steelers and Ravens fan became such good friends, but I have thanked God countless times for the friendship that we have. And I can't wait to see it grow the rest of our lives.
Sienna Bircher
Sienna Bircher - Maid of Honor
Sienna and I met completely by chance when I was looking for a roommate for my sophomore year of college. It was completely by chance, but boy did I win the LOTTERY. I wanted a sister my entire life, and I found one at WVU! You can always count on her to have the brightest smile in the room—and the biggest heart to match. She has been there for some of my highest highs and my lowest lows. I am so happy to have her by my side!
Devin Pisarski
Devin Pisarski - Groomsman
Devin and I have been friends since our junior year of high school, when we randomly ended up being in the same chemistry class. We didn't become close friends until senior year when Devin and I just randomly decided to hangout every single day. He spent LOTS of nights staying over at my house. Didn't matter the weather, if he wanted to come over and hang, he was gonna make it happen. Our mutual love for sports as well as our overall dumb brains made us into friends for life. I am so lucky to have a friend like Devin and I can't thank God enough for putting him in my life.
Savannah Ware
Savannah Ware - Bridesmaid
Savannah and I have been dreaming side by side since we were kids. Through every phase of life, we’ve grown even closer—and now, we get to experience being engaged at the same time! Little us would be FREAKING OUT about that. We have checked off so many milestones together, so having her next to me on my wedding day is so special!
Riley Anderson
Riley Anderson - Groomsman
Riley got added to the friend group a bit later, but that didn't make any difference at all. We have become super close friends over the years, and I am INCREDIBLY grateful for that. The first time we ever hung out just the two of us was after high school, when we were both home from college during the summer. We ended up going to this cliff jumping spot called Lawn in Connellsville. I'm not really sure what compelled us to go just the two of us but little did we know that would be the start of an amazing friendship. But what has really drawn us so close over the years is our mutual love for PITT!! It will always be HAIL TO PITT! I can't wait to have you by my side and hopefully we can watch some more Pitt Championships in our lifetime together. God was looking out for me when he placed you in my life and for that I am very appreciative.
Anna Umpleby
Anna Umpleby - Bridesmaid
If I could sum up our friendship in one phrase, it would be: short time, deep connection. Anna transferred to WVU during my last year, but from the moment we met, we just clicked. From late-night gab sessions on the couch to heart-to-hearts that we desperately needed, we built something real in no time. Being able to plan and be in each other's weddings only a few months apart is soooo special! I’m so grateful for the friendship we’ve grown—and so happy she’s standing by my side.
Clay Swan
Clay Swan - Groomsman
Clay is my one and only brother in this world and I wouldn't want it to be anyone else. We have moved all over the place in our lifetime, experienced new schools, played soccer together, and most importantly have grown deeper in our faith together. I can always rely on Clay to be the outgoing and life of the party brother I have needed my entire life. No matter the distance that has been between us, like me living in Philly for my 4 years of college, to him moving all the way to Phoenix for a couple years, he has always been there for me. And I am so incredibly happy and joyful to say that God truly blessed me with a wonderful brother to have by my side!
Kaitlyn King
Kaitlyn King - Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn and I have been friends pretty much our entire lives. I do not remember a time that Kaitlyn was not in my life. And I absolutely love that I do not know a life without her! Not only did we go to the same school, but also the same church (so she only got a break from me one day a week!!) A friendship like hers is so special because we have watched each other grow up and grow in our faith. Love this girl!!
Trevor Paisley
Trevor Paisley - Groomsman
Soccer has done a lot for me in my lifetime, but what it has done for me the most is provided me with some friends for life. Trevor is one of those friends. We met as freshman at our first preseason team meeting and didn't know anything about one another other then we both loved soccer enough to play in Division III. We immediately hit it off as friends and quickly realized how much we had in common. Between all the late night WaWa runs and the 6am practice runs we had no interest in doing, we knew our friendship would last. While I certainly miss those days, I am beyond grateful for the friendship we have formed over the years. God has blessed us both beyond what we could ever imagine and I can't wait to have him by my side!
Lara Windhaus
Lara Windhaus - Bridesmaid
If there is one thing that my friendship with Lara has taught me, it is that distance is nothing. Time is nothing. You make the time for the people you care about. Lara was a foreign exchange student at Rockwood my Junior year, and we became best friends immediately. I will never forget the memories we made America, Germany, and our little trip to Paris :) I am so beyond lucky to have a friend willing to fly across the ocean to stand by my side as I marry the love of my life!
Aidan Ream
Aidan Ream - Groomsman
Any guy can relate to that nervous feeling you get when first meeting your girlfriends family, but that's especially the case when meeting the men in her life like her dad and brothers. So naturally, i was a little nervous meeting Aidan. But little did I know, there was nothing to be nervous about. Emma has always wanted a big brother, and while she will never have one, she did end up with a pretty awesome younger brother. Aidan and I have grown pretty close over the span of the last year or so, and considering he's about to be my brother-in-law, I imagine that our friendship will continue to grow. I can't wait to be apart of the family and especially can't wait to watch the Steelers win a Super Bowl together one day. I thank God all the time that I will not only be gaining a wife but also a new brother!
Mollie Wheatley
Mollie Wheatley - Bridesmaid
Before Mollie was Aidan's fiancé, she was my teammate. Her falling in love with my brother was not a surprise for me, because I had to listen to her "complain" about how "mean" my brother was before soccer practice all the time. You always hope that your brother marries someone you like- and I am so glad to see the two of them get married this summer! Not many people get to marry their high school sweetheart, and I am so happy she is marrying hers! I am so excited to have her as a sister-in-law, and if I have to give up my last name, I am glad she's gaining it!
